THE STATE MURDERS
Demonstration on Saturday 22.10.22 at 6PM at Monastiraki station
On the evening of 22 to 23 October, seven Greek cops murdered the romani Nikos Sampanis. For the next few days, the state attempted to “excuse” the murder by slandering the dead man. At the same time, demonstrations had been held by the movement and the Romani communities. Barricades were set up on the highway. A year later, Nick’s killers remain unpunished, while some individuals were tried and imprisoned for participating in the protests. The racist and classist hatred is organized by the Greek state. In the face of the state murders of Grigoropoulos, Sampanis, Zackie, Maggos, Waris Ali, we stand with the oppressed.
